Someone Stole New Prototypes From Razer’s CES Booth

Razer has given some insane Techs in CES 2017. They unveiled two new gaming prototypes (one of which won two Best of CES 2017 awards).First was Project Valerie, 17inch 12k Laptop with 3 screens and the other one was sleek alien-looking projector that expanded a game’s image well beyond the edges of the TV screen. But  Min-Liang Tan , Company’s CEO, confirmed on his Facebook page that he’d just receive word that two of the prototypes were stolen from booth at CES.

Razer’s CEO, Min-Liang Tan, announced via Facebook:

“I’ve just been informed that two of our prototypes were stolen from our booth at CES today. We have filed the necessary reports and are currently working with the show management as well as law enforcement to address this issue.”

Till now it has not known which of the projects were stolen but Razer’s presence at CES2017 were highly based on  new Chroma projector, dubbed Project Ariana, and a three-screened laptop that goes under the working title of Project Valerie.

But its not the first time that Razer’s prototypes has been stolen. Back in 2011, Two of experimental Blade’s prototypes were stolen from R&D lab in San Francisco.Tan has also refused to rule out corporate spying:

“We treat theft/larceny, and if relevant to this case, industrial espionage, very seriously – it is cheating, and cheating doesn’t sit well with us. Penalties for such crimes are grievous and anyone who would do this clearly isn’t very smart.”

Tan is ticked about this incident and added:

At Razer, we play hard and we play fair. Our teams worked months on end to conceptualize and develop these units.
